In
online poker "table image" is usually not particularly important. On the final table of a big MTT, people will likely pay attention to, how active you have been, and adjust at least a little bit. But in general a lot of players are multitabling, and if the site allow HUDs, its more important, what data people have picked up on their HUDs. If for instance you only ever 3-bet preflop for value, this will eventually show up in your HUD-stats, if you play with the same people regularly. And then they will exploit you by overfolding to your 3-bets.
But most of the time you are just levelling yourself, if you care to much about your percieved "table image". There are situations though, where I will take it into account. If for instance its short stacked play on the bubble of a SnG or an MTT final table, and I have been jamming on people over and over again, because I am the chip leader, I will typically think, that this might have put some of them on tilt. So I might fold some marginal hands to aviod getting spite called by someone, who just had enough of me and dont have the discipline to keep folding, when they should.
