Amount of hands you should play at short-handed tables?

When there are few players left in a tournament and the blinds are already high enough, is it advisable to play more hands or fold?

It all depends on how many chips you have in relation to your opponents. If you have a good stack of chips, it's worth opening more hands and putting pressure on your opponents. But if you have few chips, you have to play with fewer hands.
