I saw two all in showdowns last night at m weekly tournament that I thought I'll mention here.

Showdown #1
Blinds (200/400)

First to act calls big blind
Next player raises to 700.
The Next three players fold.
The button calls.
The small blind (me with :7s4: :5h4: ) folds.
The Big Blind and First to Act folds.
The flop comes:
:jc4: :6s4: :5c4: .
Player #1(who raised it to 700) bet 1000.
The button goes all in.
Player #1 calls.

Player #1 has :8s4: :8d4: . Button has :4h4: :4d4: .
The turn is :7s4: . The river is :8h4: .

So, the board is::jc4: :6s4: :5c4: :7s4::8h4:.

Player #1 has three of a kind eights.
The button has a straight.
I didn't see the straight at first and I thought Player #1 won the pot.

Showdown #2
Blinds (400/800)

First to Act goes all in
Next player calls who is shortstacked compared to First To Act.
Everyone else folds.
First to Act has::qc4: :ac4: . Next Player has: :ad4: :kd4: .

The board comes:
:kc4: :10c4: :5d4: :2h4: and...do you want to guess?
:jc4: !

First To Act has Royal flush.
Next player has a pair of Kings.

Unbelievable!

OK, b4 anyone else spots it, the suit of the 7's in the first hand isn't important!

2nd hand, Royal flush is a biggie, but and Ace or club would have done.
