Nope, in this spot that is a decent/astute/prudent fold if you ask me!

You could argue that as you have the player covered by more than 2:1 (and would still have 10bb behind if you called and lost) that it might be worth calling in attempt to burst the bubble and chip up but with the benefit of the VPIP & PFR stats it's unlikely in my opinion that you're going to be ahead all that often, most of the time it's going to be a flip or you'll be a pretty big dog.

In some ways it comes down to personal preference and what we may have observed with regards to the player's style and ranges...

Myself personally, I'm very comfortable playing with a stack of 10bb or less so this is the kind of spot that I will probably go for it more often than some might advise, however I'm not going to be calling it off or shoving over the top when I perceive the UTG+1 player to be tight.

Oh and of course the other thing that hasn't been mentioned is the player behind in the SB who covers you...

Do we really want to flat the UTG+1 jam and then be put in a tough spot where we are committed or feel obliged to call off the rest of our stack when the SB re-jams? ;)

No, we do not.

Especially not on the bubble with AJo! ;)

I'm interested in other people's opinions on this 100%, I'm sure many would snap/rejam this as we could perhaps presume UTG+1 is pushing any ace, but I'm not so sure!

Thanks for posting, interesting spot! (y)

no, if the player who shoves was in middle or late posición you could have considered calling however since the player who shoved was on early.position (utg+1) he will most likely have a stronger hand like aq, ak or a pair... so folding is a reasonable thing to do in this spot.

There are 5 people with shorter stacks than you who are definitely in "emergency mode". Often the best bet at that point is to let them eat each other. i.e. you don't care if the player with 8bb takes out the player with 4bb... you are in the money.

This is an easy fold for me. When one of the short stacks with 7.5bbs shoves from early position, this just screams strength, especially when there are two other players with shorter stacks than him. His range is probably JJ+, AKs...it may even be stronger than that. Against that range, AJo does horribly.

The other thing is, if you call, what do you do if SB calls behind, or worse, shoves? A lot of poker is about avoiding nasty spots for large percentages of your stack. Fold and wait for a better spot.

Easy fold after the all-in from UTG+1. You made one of the best decisions possible!

Its a solid fold on the bubble. Even AQo would also be a fold. You have a solid stack here and can basically just lean back and wait for someone to bust.
Totally agree. AQo is also an easy fold.

Easy fold, UTG+1 on the bubble is a tight range, but it's a freeroll, reshove would be acceptable too, not in a normal mtt regarding your stack and the effective stack. Personnally I would call, making couple of dollars surviving the bubble doesn't matter for me, so it depends if you play it ICM or not. Even with no ICM it's a very close call, (call on bb maybe).
It will always be a fold unless you want to maximize your odds to get to FT (just because it's a freeroll)
