On the first hand, you were short stacked and you had the best starting hand so there was nothing else you could do except maybe just raise preflop but it would be pointless to do so. Whne you are short stacked like that, either go all in or fold. Nothing much you could do on the second hand either. It's simply a bad beat. Even if you raised more after the flop (which I would have done), the other player would have called. I'm sure luck will come your way soon.
