Blinds were 15/30 jonny opened 3x I called and so did mervin
I checked the flop so did mervin and jonny c-bet 90 chips
33/43 percent of hands played in late position and the blinds for jonny from around 250 hands
and a whooping 42/67 for mervin from about 450 hands sample.
So obviously they like to stubbornly defend their hands in those positions
and I decided to save my money rather then continue with perhaps tainted outs
and a chance to get check/raised by mervin.
Is my choice too NITTY?
Would you have choose differently?

Preflop
Your main play here should be to 3-bet, but calling is better than folding.

Flop
The pot is multiway, and you only have a gutshot and BDFD on a paired board. But it is a small bet of just 1/3 pot, and AQ do beat bluffs, which is in fact, what CO had. All in all I probably peel one street for this price, but its close.

Results
So you would have made none less than a royal flush, but that is of course results oriented thinking. Your check-fold on the flop is a bit on the weak-tight side, but I would much rather fix this hand by 3-betting preflop. If you had 3-bet, then most likely JTo goes away, and perhaps A9s goes away as well, in which case you would not even have seen a flop. And if A9s call, you can take it down with a C-bet on the flop instead of putting yourself into this passive position, where you are check-calling and basically playing a guessing game out of position.
