I had c. 8k chips, which was about the 4th highest stack, on the final table of 8.
We were in the bubble. 8th place gets 20 points, up to first place on 100 points.
There were three people with pretty low stacks, of 2-3 big blinds

The blinds were now 400 / 800
A player, immediately in front of me, UTG, with a stack of c. 20 - 25k, bet 1600 (2x the BB).

I had two Queens.
What would you do against this Middling bet?

I bet 4k, aiming for a fold or that I had a better hand.

I called. He had two Kings! 
Oh woe is me.
Should I have bitten the bullet and folded?
It’s easy to criticize after the event.

If I had called, he would probably have checked the flop, I would have probably bet, say, 3200 - 4000 and he would have come over the top anyway, I suspect, so I think I might have been on a loser whatever transpired. It was difficult for me to guess, he was slow playing.
