[QUOTE="300HPGOD, post: 6497516, member: 305911"] Pre flop: Stack size is everything in this hand since we are at that awkward 25-30 BB stack. Without knowing anything about the initial raiser (what we know about them comes into play a lot or should in our decision) I think I like flatting here and not opening myself up to what happened to you. With that being said assuming we know EP raiser is not a nit then jamming is not terrible and would be my second choice of action here but it would be somewhat far behind my first choice of flatting and my second to last choice of 3 betting. I think when we 3 bet here for 1/4th our stack we A) are not raising enough to get a fold from EP raiser and B) are coming close to committing ourselves or will put ourselves in a spot where if villain just called then we would likely c bet the flop which would commit us assuming it was any kind of normal sizing. For those reasons plus giving ourselves an exit strategy I like just calling here and if everyone else comes in then the set mine odds are there and if no one else comes in then we play heads up in position with a decent pair. As played in the hand when it got back to you I would fold as well since I would figure Im outright beat or at least will be going against two or more overcards. The bounties should factor into your decision but I think that should factor into a pre flop jam more than a call off since in bounties other players should expect lighter calls due to the bounties so they should be jamming here decent (def more decent than what they had) and you can jam expecting to get called by worse. Flop: We did not see the flop but if we were in it (say villain just flatted you heads up) , it would not be a good one with Ace high and could be one where we would have been fairly easily bluffed off of it. Plus throw in another overcard to boot so this would not have been a great flop. I would not want to play a hand like this with a really low SPR (less than 2 if called only by first villain) so that is another reason why I would just flat pre to at least have some maneuverability in the hand.
