Ok so there was another hand from todays session, which I wanted to share. This was an 18-man SnG, and since 4 places pay, we had just made it into the money. As we can see, my opponent was the short stack and got it in very light. Its possible, he just did not know the correct push-fold ranges. However he had been playing very tight up until then, and my HUD showed stats of VPIP 20 / PPR 10 over 600+ hands. So this player is by no means loose or spewy in general.

So what I think more likely happened here, was that he thought, that since he cashed already and was the short stack, now was the time to dubble up or go out. But this is a huge mistake, and especially in this format, because the payouts are 40/30/20/10, so outlasting one more player is actually even more important with 3 or 4 people left than with 5 people left. And if he had folded his junky hand, there is at least a chance, that me and BB would get into some sort of cooler situation, where one of us bust.

I ran this hand in ICMizer, and he is only supposed to rejam 66+, AT+, KQs. Rejamming J8s is a substantial mistake costing him 1% of the price pool or 18% of his buyin, which is more than any realistic long term winrate for a SnG like this. So if we are playing to win, we cant afford to let our guards down and make mistakes like this, just because we locked up a mincash and is sitting on a short stack. That short stack still has value, and we need to play it as well, as we can.

For me it's obvious and I always sell my last chips for a lot.. This tactic has already justified itself a million percent.
As for this hand, your opponent still had a chance to get his kicker, despite what ICMizer says...
