Without HUD's, the playing field is definitely more equal by default.  Practically speaking, anyone has the option to incorporate HUDs in their game, so equality is there.  Should fish finders be prohibited because they potentially offer an advantage of helping fishers catch more fish than the person without one.  If the market is favorable, there will/should be providers that offer a format without HUDs.  I suppose Bovada is one.  I personally do not prefer complete anonymity because I have no idea who I'm up against or even the tendencies of the table hoppers.  I see this as a greater disadvantage than playing without a HUD.

Yet, they are available to anyone.  Many providers offer 30 day trials for those of interest.
I suppose anyone can get a better insight of the advantage they offer by simply signing up for a trial.  As with most live play and professionals, their HUDs are experience.
Most people would probably play Dwan different than Hellmuth; and a newbie different than someone with experience.
