I'm new to PT3, and there are a lot of numbers on there... Wondering if anyone has any examples of stats they have used to plug their own leaks; this might help me find some starting points for working on my game "away from the game"...

Thanks in advance!

I'd say the biggest one that most people say is that tracking software makes them realize how many hands they are playing and raising(VPIP and PFR respectively) and that brings big changes to their games. It's easy to say that you think you're only playing 20% of hands and raising 18& of them, but when it's all tracked, it's funny to see how much more you may be playing. I coached a friend who had never used tracking software, he'd read books and knew ranges and such that work and a lot of what doesn't work. He thought he might be playing a little more than 15% of hands, and raising a tad less. I went through and loaded all of his HH's up and he was playing 34% and raising 13%. There is a lot that goes by when you're playing fast paced that you don't even catch yourself doing...little things like that are going to be the first, most obvious fixes that will/should be made

You are right, that is a good starting point -- love those stats for opponents on the HUD, obv. I'm at about 25/21, which is pretty LAG(?) so maybe I need to look at my flop stats (after my PF raise):

11% check; 10% bet; 2% raise; 1% call; 3% fold; 0% c/r; no flop 73%

For me, easier to understand as a % of times we see a flop...
41-37-7-4-11-0

My initial reaction is not enough cbets, not enough 3bets, and I would at least like to show a c/r once in a while, in spots where it's not gonna kill my value.

OOps, gotta run to work -- guess I have some time to mull over those numbers...

The Leak Buster software within HEM is awesome for pointing out ideal stat ranges and to give you pointers on how to adjust your play from where you are at relative to your sample size. Since you use PT3 you don't have access to it, but if you at least check out the trial, you can get a good idea of the stat ranges. Then apply that information to what it's showing in PT3.

BTW you need at least 50k hands to even start analyzing your leaks.

Personally, one of the first things that gave me an "Aha!" moment was how badly I was getting my ass handed to me playing AT. So I tightened that up, avoided it out of position, and turned a minus to a plus.
