OK, I have another thread titled HUD filter questions, and was gonna out this there and bump, but many of you may have seen it and figured "been there, done that", and this is another question.

I am interested in advanced filter options, so any you have, and why you have them - this is pertaining to SnG play mainly, and STT/MTT play only - would be welcome.

I am in the filter "Additional HUD filters" where you can do 2-10 players. I am not sure what is the best approach here. I am thinking when I am between 10-6 players, I want to filter min 6 players and max 10 to get an idea of how they play FR to 6 players.

From 5 to 4 players left I am thinking min 4 and max 5, and then from 3 players min 2 max 3.

Is this making sense, and if not, why not, and how do you filter?

Another thing I have been wondering: How can I filter, say an MTT 4 max so that it is not set to bubble play, if I have my filter set as mentioned above? Or is this not possible? Same question applies to 6 Max MTTs? Since my play will be vastly different when I am on the bubble 4 handed compared to a 4 max MTT with lots of entrants.

Also, how do you all approach the HUD tourney filters? This is still Greek to me.

Any ideas and tips on how you guys and gals filter for MTT and SnG are greatly appreciated.

I use them all the time, it gives a little more accurate results for players you have many hands on. And you can see how players "change gears" throughout a tourney.

It depends how much you play agaisnt the same players. In the lower levels, it's hard to get significant hands on players. However it's still useful. I'd be just keeping it pretty simple for now. Filtering out the early levels is definitely good.

Seems fine, just keep in mind that you will often have times where you have 0 hands on players throughout these stages. However HEM has a good feature where if you double click the HUD, it will show the results from this game (should go red as a default).

Mines pretty complex set-up, so i'll spare you the babble :D i use a combination of the tourney HUD filter and the additional HUD filters to get a super accurate result. It's not recommended right now though, as they could screw each otehr up.

I wouldn't be filtering MTT's at all.

Left hand column shows the effective stack size. Left hand dictates how many players you want to be left at the table. So I'll post a quick screenshot below of how to setup to filter out the early level play from the rest of the tournament. (left to right, left being the default, right is changed.

Set it up to account for early game, so from say 9-6 players. Then mid to late game, 6-4 players, then ITM it's really important to change it, as many players change gears so from 3-2 players. AGain, i'll show that basic setup below in a screenie.

Hope this helps.
