HEM 1 vs HEM 2: Pop up help

I am trying to customize my pop ups. I find it really confusing in HEM 1. I add text and stats but it is all over the place when I preview it.

So 1. Is HEM 2 better with pop ups, and easier to customize.

2. Is there any info about how to easily do it in HEM 1?

HM2 is a lot easier, since it uses a 'what you see is what you get' method.
