Me and PS ended our relationship couple of years ago, best poker decision of my life. Nothing to think about PS, wish them all the best !What is your opinion on the fact that one of the largest online poker platforms in the world has decided to remove free tournaments from its lobby?
This is not a world wide solution.Horrible decision, however the Spin of the Day on Stars is excellent!
This Spin is worth next to nothing, maybe a 1 cent value at best. This is not a world wide solution.
In Germany there is nothing.
I think they manipulate who gets money from it, I have gotten slightly over 15€ within 30 daysThis Spin is worth next to nothing, maybe a 1 cent value at best.
He was trolling.
I feel the same way as most of us, it sucks. I thought that freerolls might be cancelled at other sites, but I was sure about PokerStars. It turned out I was wrong. At the moment, 888 is my favourite. And PokerStars doesn't arouse my interest as much as it used to.What is your opinion on the fact that one of the largest online poker platforms in the world has decided to remove free tournaments from its lobby?
They must complain about no CC freerolls.Just out of curiosity: do they literally have no freerolls now, or are people still complaining about the CC freerolls and other freerolls for cash prices being cancelled in early 2024? After this they still had satellite freerolls, and some forum members played these a ton according to Sharkscope.
By practicing with play money games or by playing our community games at Replay ^^It's terrible, new players always start with free tournaments. If a poker room doesn't offer these tournaments, how can these new players practice?
Ok thanks for the info. To be honest I can totally understand, why a poker site want their freerolls to reward tickets rather than cash prices. Its a way to ensure, that the promotional budget is recycled into the sites tournaments making it easier for them to reach their guaranty, and also making them softer, which makes them more attractive to play for paying customers. But apparently some people feel entitled to withdraw freeroll winnings or have a dream about becoming a millionaire without ever risking a single dollar of their own money. And now PokerStars is the worst site in the world, because they have scattered that dreamThey must complain about no CC freerolls.
PS still got a ton of freerolls.
4 freerolls running as we speak.
Yes it's understandable but considering the decreasing numbers at PS they should make more attractive promos to gain new players.Ok thanks for the info. I dont actually know any example of a poker site, that has managed to turn things around, once volume began to decline after peeking. PokerStars, partypoker, 888 Poker, ACR Poker, its all kind of the same story. Peaked years ago and now in steady decline. Maybe there is some exception, I do not know of. This is a genuine question, if someone has info.Yes it's understandable but considering the decreasing numbers at PS they should make more attractive promos to gain new players. This isn't happening though. It seems they gave up a long time ago.
Pros basically follow the recreational players, like sharks follow a school of fish. It's really no wonder that most pros play at GG nowadays
I agree 👍🏼I dont actually know any example of a poker site, that has managed to turn things around, once volume began to decline after peeking. For sure PokerStars have made some questionable decisions over the years. For me the last one was their decision to raise the rake on most of their single table SnGs some time in early 2024, if I remember correctly. I predicted back then, that it would be the nail in the coffin for these games, and it more or less has been. Still running now and then but nowhere near the volume, they saw before the rake increase.
Volume of players is surely a motive but at pro level I can't imagine they encounter many recreational players.Pros basically follow the recreational players, like sharks follow a school of fish.
