Have you ever noticed that 888 loves changing your seat? Sometimes they even change your table twice.
By the other side, GG is more loyal with your place. Generally I play most of the tournament at the same table.

Any toughts?

I’ve never noticed if one site does it more, it’s not nice when you get moved big blind to big blind when you short stacked on the bubble.

In small field MTTs there will be more rebalancing of tables needed during late registration compared to large field MTTs. This is likely the main reason, why you feel this difference.

It depends on what tournaments you are talking about and what tournaments you are comparing it to. If you're playing a freeroll at 888 with more than 1000 players, it's no surprise that you're often moved to another table.
