Potential scam that i wish wasn't

Has this happened to anyone.
Received an email about reading south game after I made the list. Here's me on list.

I then received an email asking for further info. Here's the email and document.

I have been trying to confirm if it's real for a couple of days. I called them out on it saying I don't believe it to be real.
Help on the App convinced me it wasn't genuine and was not from them. I decided to ignore email.
Last night I received a phone call from them trying to prove that they are real. I was online and they relayed to me certain details about my account including current value, they even gave me a $22 free ticket to use.
They almost had me, I was almost convinced.
Today I got in touch with 888poker to see if I could reconfirm what my gut was telling me.
They claim it is nothing to do with them.
Anyone been in this situation before?
I really wanted it to be real.

I would recommend you tell 888 to forward it to their security team.

If it's malicious the $22 ticket they gave you should be able to be sourced and them knowing some info about your account is concerning.

Is it possible it's from a poker affiliate you're with or something you signed up for playing live? That would be a 3rd party from 888's perspective but still be legitimate.

Been on to 888 all morning (uk) best info I could get was. Its not them. It did take them a long time to try to find out for me.
It's hard to get any information. It's had my head in bits.

Looks like they are scammers who want to get a hand on your personal data if 888poker denies any involvement.

How they managed to issue you tickets on your 888 account is troubling.
Check the email adress that's often an indicator If legit or not

I think we can rule out the "potential" from the title. It is a scam since real 888 has no knowledge of it.

Knowing how sh**ty their actual customer service is by the discussions we can read on our site, the above should definitely ring alarm bells all the way to the neighbours.

It seemed legit on there ukpl events page but still.
Have been struggling with the contemplation filled with interest and anticipation for last couple of days. Anxiety at a peak. A hoop I really want to jump through.
Think I may have passed the sign up window now though.

If I were you, I would see if you can use the ticket to register for any game, and make the most out of it. They owe you that at least. I would also change my pw too.

The ticket on the list is a different game. Was showing how it was all the more confusing. The list game is $720 ticket on 5th june. The event ticket (or whatever that was) was $520 on 29-31 may.

I sent an email earlier today saying that I am still interested in it, if they still want me to attend. But that it would probably be after the 72hr period ended, due to my suspicion and lack of verification.
I have just received another email.
They have said i can, i think i will.

But it's pretty unheard of that any poker site would jump through so many hoops just to convince you.

I think it might have been a satellite linked to the $55 but I can't remember. I have been a little excited on doing well on a few satellite this month.
That $720 being my biggest satellite ticket ever.

I don't know how the pc version operates and I'm not computer literate. The bairn wouldn't let me near his anyway.

I am feeling better about letting it go, but its very irritating.

Well I have no idea where u live and how much of an effort it is for u personally to attend the event.

All I can tell u it's 100 % legit and noone is trying to scam u or commit ID fraud. They will ask for If anyway if u ever plan on withdrawing.

I live north uk. Can't afford to randomly go to down south, or anywhere really. My credit rating is now decent after years of repair. Not worth much but vital importance to me.
Couldn't get not confirmation of its validity from anywhere. 888poker app denied any involvement with it, and i got nowhere on the 888poker site. Cant get info through grovsvenor casino. The assistance was just not there. The only ones to confirm are the ones making the offer. Being able to reward me a ticket almost had me. Thought someone here might have been through this procedure before. Oh and the phone call received was from Barcelona, if it was from the UK I may have been less wary. As it is to do with UKPL.
Not worth it. Makes me sad but oh well, nothing new there.
I would have dived in head first without a second thought back in my 20's when my responsibilities were non existent. 30's and 40's have not been mine.
Life for me, myself and I gets to have restart in a few years, waste some money on me. Looking forward to manoplay (male menopause, joke) the midlife crisis.

Yeah am gutted.
Being a father is what keeps you going they are what matter, not yourself.
He's 16 now leaving school. In a few years the little s~~t can start fending for himself in part. Lol.
Soon the little bit of light that all parents wish for might finally appear.
