How many stories about players being owed 10's of thousands of dollars have to be told after some on-line cardroom or club fails to pay it's players. Even in live games there is cheating -- just look at the Mike Postle incident.

All of these on-line poker players will sooner or later become just like all of Bernie Madoff's victims. All of his victims were earning dividends  and believed that everything Bernie was doing was legitimate until the truth came out and they all landed flat broke on their asses. Greed and an underlying if not full blown gambling addiction is why people can't and won't admit that on-line gambling is shady. There is just way too much money involved and too many criminals proliferating on such on-line gaming platforms for anybody to consider any given platform 100% safe. Like I said, people who want to play poker recreationally or for a living should do so inside of a trusted and regulated casino.
