Do you have any accounts still at sites from the past... that maybe you never closed?  Some sites don't close accounts even if there's a zero balance.
If you post a bit more, you'll be able to send private messages on here (I think you need to have 10 posts prior to being able to send private messages).  The forum had an overhaul awhile back so some of the things are different now... ie. sending messages

Attempting to sign up on some of the sites without a cellphone sounds like a bit of a conundrum.   They've made it so you need a damn cellphone for all sorts of things these days.  ie. my friend joined a fitness facility that is open 24hrs.  Unfortunately for him, he discovered that to actually enter the gym after regular business hours, you need a 'cellphone' and then have to have it scan your phone to gain access to the main entrance.  He had to go out & purchase a cellphone :(

I had refused to use a cellphone for many years.  Years ago my job required it but I stopped using a cellphone 25yrs. ago.  I too started having some difficulties while attempting to set up accounts online (they'll often want to send a code via text message to your cellphone to confirm your identity...  fortunately some places give you the option to use an email instead).  I finally picked up a cellphone ~4yrs. ago. My brother willed me his phone.

Do you have any relatives who would let you use their number for signing up?  They could call you on your landline with the texted confirmation numbers.
