Do you think online poker is slowly dying because of bots and advanced software?
Sometimes it feels like you're not even playing against real people anymore.
Is it still possible to beat the game long-term, or has it become too tough?

I don't think that's the reason if it happens at all. Perhaps because the platforms are not attractive with the prizes they give out

Honestly, I’ve felt that way too — sometimes it really seems like I’m not playing against real people, especially during certain times or on specific platforms. The overall skill level has definitely increased, and bots and advanced software have changed the online environment, especially at higher stakes.

That said, I still believe it’s possible to beat the game long-term. I focus on strong fundamentals, careful bankroll management, and picking the right games. It’s definitely not as easy as it once was, but there are still plenty of recreational players out there, especially at the lower limits. For me, the key is to keep learning, adapting, and staying disciplined — because the game is still alive, just more challenging.

No but its slowly dying, because its largely solved. Which mean, it becomes more and more difficult to find edge especially at the higher limits, because everyone willing to put in enough time and effort can learn the "perfect" (GTO) strategy. Another main reason is regulations starting with Black Friday in 2011, which largely killed the online poker market in the USA.

Most likely you are. But many sites have removed the chat function, and there are also a lot of "for profit" players, who are mass multitabling and dont want to spend time interacting with other players. In many cases they also dont speak english.

It is still possible, but the more, you move up, the more difficult it gets.

Before 14 years when the poker boom started, everybody moan why they have to spent to much time at tables...cause tourney's are long...and on cash tables and free rolls u have much players that disconnect their router at pc if they loose a hand or want catch time to finish in the bubbly at a mtt.
Later come rush and speed poker, and people loose much on playing hands that they wouldn't play with more time...it's a different game when u fold and are in action at another table at once...
Spin and win come with a jackpott and playing with stacks of 300 chips...
All that have nothing to do with real poker and people miss the best on poker...to check the other players...to read a game , to think about your step...all that's is gone to save time and end in bingo and speed lottery

I don't think poker is dying. But you can play, you just have to adjust from time to time. Because if one strategy worked, let's say 5 years ago, it may not work now.
