Yesterday's challenge of winning 5 hands at showdown with 3 of a kind COMPLETELY changed the dynamic of the poker games.

In effect if you made 3 of a kind then you simply had to check or check call it down to make sure you got to showdown.
It was close to farcical with everyone limp calling their pairs trying to hit sets and then checking it down......
To insist the hand has to be won at showdown is nonsense please pass this back.
Consider you get dealt a pair every 16 hands. If you manage to see every flop (unlikely as you will have to fold some small pairs to raises) you will make a set 1 in every 8 times. So you are looking at flopping a set 1 in 126 hands at best.
Then you have to manoeuvre the hand to showdown without making your opponent fold.....I got outdrawn at least 3 times doing so.
You might get lucky anf occasionally flop or turn trips but not often enough to make much difference.
In effect it took 1100 or so hands of sub optimal play to complete the challenge losing me considerable value on my good hands. Probably a good $20-30 of lost value for the sake of a $3 chest reward.
It was not really worth the bother.:(
