There are some topics here on CC talking about this subject.

Is there a period of time that you can return to play on PS again after permanent exclusion?

What would be the source of this information
@KrazyKoo @Station_Master?

I think you can try to restore your account after at least one year. I think you just need to regularly contact them with a request to unblock your account, and if not in a year, then in two or three years, one day it is quite possible that your account will be unblocked. The main thing is not to stop trying.

I don't have personal experience with exlusion program, its different for sure than deleting your account... I assume after permanent exlusion there is no way of continuing to play with them knowing its you.... it's permanent for a reason.... only way I think it could be possible is maybe via doctor's note where you get doctor to give statement you have conquered gambling problem. Even then I think they wouldn't take the risk since (after this I know for the fact): if they let gambling addict play not only they will get fined by the government like hell (over 100 000€ fine is possible) they would have to pay the customer their lost money back. Not to mention possible lawsuits and loss of reputation... in extreme cases put even their whole license at risk. The 3 year period I mentioned was based on how long they usually hold your information after deleting account... at least in most cases

I think such situations are considered individually. It all depends on how well and persuasively you are ready to explain to them that your situation has already changed.

I would agree there are indeed a multitude of topics here on CC talking about this subject.......

although self exclusion is a very different situation than closing your account,

seems like the way to resolve it once and for all would be to email PS support and ask them😎👍

The OP said he was excluded for 12 months.
pokerstars has a 3 tier program for self exclusion. The first tier is a defined period between 24 hours and 6 month, which you can call a cool down period. You do this yourself via the client, and no staff is involved. When the cool down period has expired, the restrictions on your account will automatically be lifted, and they will send you an email telling you, that they hope, everything is fine. I know this, because I once hit the "panic button" and accidentally self excluded for 24 hours in the middle of some tournaments.

The second tier is also done via the client but is called "indefinite (mininum 1 year)". Presumably the difference to tier 1 is, that if and when you want to play again, you need to contact support, who will then manually lift the restrictions on your account. Finally the third tier is permanent self exclusion, which need to be done by customer service. And which presumably means closing the account and not just putting restrictions on it. So presumably said forum member chose the second tier option, which is not permanent but indefinite.

Lucky the panic button was only 24hours!

Hahaha I didn't remember that, it's just that they say that after a period of 5 years you can go back to playing there, where would you find that information @Suns of Beaches?

And regarding the issue of waiting 5 years after permanent exclusion, this information is valid @fundiver199?

I dont know about this Information and it's the first time I read something about different exclusion tiers.

I also don't have a panic button. Looks like this is something implemented for regulated countrys.

Just ask Stars Support how long but if u contact them too often they might see u as a problem gambler and not lift that ban. I would try every half a year or year.

I think that if someone feels the need for self-exclusion, that game is probably not for them. If it affects you that deeply on an emotional level or leads to financial issues, you should consider finding a new hobby not a new casino to keep gambling
Yes, never, they say that generally when someone self-excludes themselves according to the platforms it is due to gambling addiction or something along those lines, and it is good for the person to stay away if they do not have emotional management.

Yes, there are many people who play poker as if it were a game of chance and luck, who don't even study range, position, etc.

Good to see you again.

Thats my description of the system not theirs.

Certain regulated countries including sweden. The button is in the lobby and say "24 hour break" (in swedish). If you hit it, the client instantly close down without any warning or confirmation. When you then try to open the client again to come back to the tournaments, you were playing, you are informed, that you have self excluded for 24 hours and cant play until then. Very helpfull feature :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Is it still there or was the button removed in 2023?

We had that one for a while too but the feature was removed around 2023

We still have it in Sweden. Obviously I have not "tried" it again to find out, if there is still no warning or comfirmation, before the self exclusion is carried out ;)

Still enough to blind me out in those tournaments though. I guess, you can say, its the ultimate online misclick to self exclude in the middle of a tournament :)

I folded a Royal last week just after villain shoved their remaining stack in on the river! (the software lagged on me... I clicked on 'call' but then when I started the next hand I was back at 100bb's & when I clicked on the HandHistory Replayer it said "FOLD"

Self excluding in the middle of a tournament might be worse though

Folding the nuts, when someone has moved all-in, is not exactly ideal either :)

Yes, of course, I imagine that was the case.

I think it all depends on the circumstances and your personal reasons. For example, if you told them that you are addicted, it is quite possible that it will take years for them to allow you to return and not necessarily that they will. Or if the reason was something else, it may not be so bad.

I don't know .not they ban you 8 don't know . But for sure a player must be careful when he himself remands permanent exclusion , this can't be undone in many sites . I was frustrated in pokerstars after losing 350$ in a slot in a crazy way , I asked for permanent ban from pokerstars casino , one year later I regret it , but now they don't answer toy emails asking them to uplift the ban
