I would agree there are indeed a multitude of topics here on CC talking about this subject.......
The OP said he was excluded for 12 months. There are some topics here on CC talking about this subject.
Is there a period of time that you can return to play on PS again after permanent exclusion?

What would be the source of this information
@KrazyKoo @Station_Master?
pokerstars has a 3 tier program for self exclusion. The first tier is a defined period between 24 hours and 6 month, which you can call a cool down period. You do this yourself via the client, and no staff is involved. When the cool down period has expired, the restrictions on your account will automatically be lifted, and they will send you an email telling you, that they hope, everything is fine. I know this, because I once hit the "panic button" and accidentally self excluded for 24 hours in the middle of some tournaments. The OP said he was excluded for 12 months.
Lucky the panic button was only 24hours!PokerStars has a 3 tier program for self exclusion. The first tier is a defined period between 24 hours and 6 month, which you can call a cool down period. The second tier is also done via the client but is called "indefinite (mininum 1 year)". Presumably the difference to tier 1 is, that if and when you want to play again, you need to contact support, who will then manually lift the restrictions on your account. Finally the third tier is permanent self exclusion, which need to be done by customer service. And which presumably means closing the account and not just putting restrictions on it. So presumably said forum member chose the second tier option, which is not permanent but indefinite.
Still enough to blind me out in those tournaments though. I guess, you can say, its the ultimate online misclick to self exclude in the middle of a tournamentLucky the panic button was only 24hours!
Hahaha I didn't remember that, it's just that they say that after a period of 5 years you can go back to playing there, where would you find that information @Suns of Beaches? My brother created an account on PS, can I play on it?
I'm not sure I understand why anyone would want to circumvent the rules when they are stated so very clearly. People who try to change the rules to their liking will face the consequences. Pretty simple. I'd suggest reading the Terms of Service to avoid disappointment - every poker site has...www.cardschat.com
When a Pokerstars account is closed, is it possible to create another one?
After closing an account permanently. Can I create another PokerStars account? Or can they track and cross-reference the data to find out that I created a new account after deleting the old one? Is there a way to do this without them finding out?www.cardschat.com
Lol
And regarding the issue of waiting 5 years after permanent exclusion, this information is valid @fundiver199?PokerStars has a 3 tier program for self exclusion. I dont know about this Information and it's the first time I read something about different exclusion tiers.Hahaha I didn't remember that, it's just that they say that after a period of 5 years you can go back to playing there, where would you find that information @Suns of Beaches?
Yes, never, they say that generally when someone self-excludes themselves according to the platforms it is due to gambling addiction or something along those lines, and it is good for the person to stay away if they do not have emotional management.I think that if someone feels the need for self-exclusion, that game is probably not for them. If it affects you that deeply on an emotional level or leads to financial issues, you should consider finding a new hobby not a new casino to keep gambling
Thats my description of the system not theirs.I dont know about this Information and it's the first time I read something about different exclusion tiers.
Certain regulated countries including sweden. The button is in the lobby and say "24 hour break" (in swedish). If you hit it, the client instantly close down without any warning or confirmation. When you then try to open the client again to come back to the tournaments, you were playing, you are informed, that you have self excluded for 24 hours and cant play until then. Very helpfull featureI also don't have a panic button. Looks like this is something implemented for regulated countrys.
I have no information about this. And regarding the issue of waiting 5 years after permanent exclusion, this information is valid @fundiver199?
Is it still there or was the button removed in 2023?Thats my description of the system not theirs.

We still have it in Sweden. Obviously I have not "tried" it again to find out, if there is still no warning or comfirmation, before the self exclusion is carried outIs it still there or was the button removed in 2023?

Folding the nuts, when someone has moved all-in, is not exactly ideal eitherI folded a Royal last week just after villain shoved their remaining stack in on the river! (the software lagged on me... I clicked on 'call' but then when I started the next hand I was back at 100bb's & when I clicked on the HandHistory Replayer it said "FOLD"
Self excluding in the middle of a tournament might be worse though
Yes, of course, I imagine that was the case.I folded a Royal last week just after villain shoved their remaining stack in on the river! (the software lagged on me...
