So, about a year ago i created an account at CoinPoker, never made a deposit and never used it as i found its UI was (and sitll is) poorly designed as well as a reduced field on mid and low stakes omaha5 cash games. I sticked to GGpoker as i have for the last years. A few day ago i received an e-mail by CoinPoker gifting me a $5 ticket for a tournament so i said "let's use it ! , its free , lol". I found the tourney quite comfortable : a little more than a 100 players , blind structure was 8 minutes per level but the step was reduced in comparison to GGpoker, in fact , the structure aimed for a starting stack to be 10BB by the level 17 , on comparison to GGpoker where most tournaments are aimed to reduce the starting stack to 10BB by the 12 or 13 (im talking about regular hold'em of course). As i mentioned the blind step is quite reduced , what makes it easier to play , it wasn't until the final table that i found myself on a 10-15 BB stack and so did the others. Long story short , i made some money so i was curious about , is it whorth it ?? or should i stick to GG as i have ? i would love to read your opinion.

It's a lovely room.
A couple of years ago they completely changed their management approach and the room was reborn. I've been back to playing at tables since last spring (I've been a member since the end of 2017, when the room opened... the first few months there were tons of freeroll promotions that almost "gave" you money).
The client is stable, reminds me a lot of the sites of the golden age, nothing flashy, no crazy animations. Fast withdrawals. No documents needed, although I read on another forum, where a communications manager from Coin Poker writes in the dedicated thread, that they decided to introduce the possibility of requesting documents for cashout for the medium and high levels players, so far they have never asked me for anything.

I play in the GG, Coin, WPN rooms etc.
GG and Coin Poker are completely different rooms, but both are profitable, if I were you I would stay with both.

The main feature of CoinPoker is that it is the first poker room that implemented a RNG based on blockchain technologies. The poker room appeared not so long ago, only in 2018, but it is gaining popularity quite quickly.

I believe the room was born between November and December 2017. I discovered it in early January or end of December 2017 period we was like 200 players. Throughout 2018 the room was the "Big Thing", being the first room to accept only cryptocurrencies and to have its own CHP coin. Then something went wrong, wrong moves etc and until about 2022 the room spent years of complete desert, with the CHP losing value. For a certain period they tried to recreate the hype with Tony G as an ambassador who often played at the high stakes tables but things did not improve at all.
then 2 or 3 years ago they changed everything at the top and it started again very well up to today where it is a good room with good traffic in constant growth

rakeback is not a great procedure with the whole CHP thing, if you have to find a fault in the room.
but I read and I see that they are a room in continuous evolution and maybe in the next months they will change it.

Oh god, that's so true. The slot-machine-esque designs of sites like GGPoker literally make my brain melt.

Also as a proud WPToid I will keep whining about WPT performance issues, but unlike SOME poker rooms *wink* *wink* CoinPoker does not require RTX 900000000 videocard with quantum nanoprocessor to render cards without lagging.

They also have freerolls, that are sadly quite cheap (won 1$ from winning with a first place in a 300-seat tournament), though compared to places like ACR these are WSP levels of rewards (kinda) and you have like 2 freerolls every hour (now at least, the schedule was much worse a year ago).

I like Coinpoker, but there are some things I dislike.
It could look and feel a little bit smoother.
The timebanks, mainly in cash games, the pace is often so slow it becomes annoying.
Plus they have the so called cent rolls, where you can win your entry for 1 cent into sats to bigger tournaments, that is pretty cool IMO

I had good success in the past there. I did run into some collusion but they banned the guilty parties.

Lately it seems like the tourneys are not offering the compelling value that they once did.

Hi,
I play at coin when I want play poker for free. They are many free rolls starting every half hour. I signed up over an website that offers once monthly 250dollar freeroll. So I build up a small bankroll...but coinpoker isn't sexy enough to me to deposit money there. Mostly because I don't have a crypto wallet. And thats the only payment method there.

I created an account on Coinpoker. And after that. I started receiving emails scams or phishing I don't know. Saying Coinpoker and Telling that I have my paypal account troubles making payments. So what I need is to follow the link to solve that PayPal transfers. 😂 almost 5 emails like that in no more that a 6 months.

I played on CoinPoker for years. All my withdrawals were processed instantly. I don't think there are any withdrawal issues now either.

I play there everyday. There are freerolls every 30minutes ($5 and $10, ok, but everytime). I have never withdraw because everytime I win I end up by losing my money at casino, but as far as I know, withdraws are instant

Me too I play these if I have no other games going on late at night. I haven’t tried any withdrawals yet either. I will be trying out a few cash games here and some tournaments before I judge the place.

They don't a bunch of freerolls that I consider important, but the field is softer...
