Careful with PokerStars tickets

Had a real money Ticket in my account that was valid like 3 years more. This ticket magically disappeared yesterday.

After arguing with support for almost 30 minutes they reinstated my Ticket but first they only wanted to give me a power path ticket of the same value and they told me a new policy is in place and tickets are only valid for 12 months from now on. Told me they informed people about it. I did not receive any email or other information about this whatsoever. Told me it's on the webpage (as if someone checks regularly their web page).

Funnily the ticket they reinstated now shows a 5 year expiry date but support confirmed with me it's only valid for 12 months.

So carefully people if u have a ticket with a long expiry date. It's 12 months from now on and not more.

Very wrong not to inform people via email or some other source/via big announcement about this. Imagine all the players who will not realize this and loose their ticket(s).

Thanks for the heads up Beaches appreciate it. Best of luck with the ticket. Not good at all. Everyone should be informed thru email. Who even visits a poker sites website after clicking the download link. I sure haven't and if I do it's only once maybe twice and I certainly ain't reading the whole website or anything and fine print.
