So I built up a mini bankroll on stake. As with all sites I like to withdraw a small amount just to check out the process. It says you must make a purchase first which I don't mind doing if I actually will be able to withdraw my winnings. So I was just curious as to if anyone else has made a withdrawal.

Usually you have to spend the same amount of deposit you have made for you to be able to withdraw whats on your account, most platforms use this methods, hope that helps

So you can only withdraw as much as you purchase? Doesn't sound too good for a profitable poker player.

I wouldn't give too much credit to the answers in this thread so far. "I cash out everywhere" < wtf is that?

Personally I'd never heard of it until reading this post. I guess it's obviously much more popular in other parts of the world.

What is a 'purchase'? Is that a Deposit?

Does the site have poker? (I only noticed Casino & Sportsbetting)

Yes it has poker but it's sweepstake poker similar to clubwpt gold. So you purchase gold coins say you buy $20 worth of gold coins and they give you $20 sweeps coins for free 😉. So yes it's a deposit without calling it that. Just a way around gambling laws in states like mine(Florida). On clubwpt gold you don't have to purchase I started free rolling then once I had some sweeps then built a little roll and withdrew seamlessly without having to purchase

Cool they require a purchase first. Were you able to withdraw more than you purchased?

How do you withdraw without making a deposit first!? Not sure many sites are going to allow that.

Just deposit a small amount, go through verification (or get verified then deposit), then withdraw, assuming the site is not a complete scam (never heard of it, so no idea)

I've withdrawn on clubwpt gold without depositing a penny. I have no problem making a minimal deposit if I could withdraw more than I deposit. As far as being a scam its one of the sites listed here as trustworthy

Genial, requieren una compra primero. ¿Pudiste retirar más de lo que compraste?
Yes, I only made a mandatory first deposit with as little as possible and I can withdraw what I have on the platform.

I’ve done small test withdrawals before and it worked fine after making a purchase. It’s pretty common for sites like that to require a deposit first, just to verify your account. Once that’s done, cashing out should go through normally

Have you managed to get the withdrawal? Please keep us posted. I want to try them out, but already dealt with some 'fabulous' rooms and their convoluted practices, so reports from fellow players/chatters are very valuable to all I'm sure and appreciated.

Why was it difficult at 888? It's one of the biggest rooms, so they should be solid in that department, no?

Hey, I’m in the same boat 😅. I’m just trying to gather the USD25 minimum for withdrawal, and once I reach it I’ll let you know how it goes.

¿Por qué fue difícil en el 888? Es una de las salas más grandes, así que deben ser sólidos en ese aspecto, ¿no?
because they asked me for a lot of documents besides my “normal” document, here it's called “CPF”, and I was very lazy to show all the documents they asked for, on other poker platforms such as pokerstars or WPT they only ask for a normal deposit, they don't ask for as much documentation as 888 seemed to me, but as I said, maybe the fact that I'm not Brazilian and my document is different from that of native Brazilians makes it more difficult for me to verify my account.

Ah, I see. Some rooms can be like that, I've had that experience at a couple. Bwin, I think... but that was a long time ago, maybe they've changed in that regard. Probably all due to a room's internal risk control policies. At least you got your money, that's the most important thing.

Good morning everyone, I’ve been playing poker since 2018 and I’ve never heard of poker sites or casinos refusing to pay. On the contrary, what I see most often is sites paying out millions.
If a player is caught cheating and wins some money, the site will block the withdrawal. Each site has its own rules for deposits and withdrawals, and as long as you read and follow them, you can be sure the sites will pay.
Usually, complaints about sites blocking money during withdrawals are related to account verification issues. When players use promotional bonuses from some sites, they must meet certain requirements before being able to cash out, and some players don’t understand this and claim the site doesn’t want to pay. There are also cases where players open accounts under other people’s names.
Poker sites and casinos make a lot of money and have no interest in keeping a player’s funds, since good publicity is the key to their business.

That makes sense. I guess it’s mostly about knowing the rules and making sure your account is verified. Thanks for clarifying, it helps to hear from someone with more experience.

Maybe its just a small amount won from freerolls, so if you never ad anything to account and just play freerolls maybe there is a restriction
