Good afternoon. It is really a pity..I don´t know what ACR did wrong for that decision. This girl deserves to be an Ambassador of a better site.Kade is not only a talented poker player but also charming woman. Her victory in the Sunday Million was amazing.

Explaining Vanessa Kade role as ambassador and the problems which arose is a little complicated.

She spoke up (as did numerous other women and many men) against Dan Bilzerian getting hired to represent GG Poker. In his first Tweet in the role he called her a 'Hoe' (quote) which underlined both how a crude and dumb he was.

Obviously the fall out went on for some time with a lot of opinions being thrown around.

Vanessa then joined ACR as an ambassador in early 2021. Unfortunately the founder/owner of ACR Phil Nagy then made a complete fool of himself by making vulgar and sexist comments on a live stream he was guesting on. Nagy apologized but a lot of men (one assumes of a chauvinistic bent) decided to come after Vanessa Kade on the matter. After criticizing Bilzerian, what did she have to say about her boss and should she not resign?

She was obviously put in a difficult position. The implication from her resignation is there is a culture at ACR that is ongoing which she doesn't appreciate.

That said, I find her resignation a little cryptic and it naturally will lead to people expecting further explanation.

Gosh, I have to say, I am shocked about this all.

I have to admit, once I wrote about Bilzarian, oh well, I will toss him from a roof or so until I read the whole story. It is a no-no in my opinion what GGPoker did there with Vanessa. And actually, I stopped playing there afterwards.

And I really thought / hoped at this time, that another room will add her as an ambassador. And ACR did, well, I hoped for PS honestly, but well, I thought she will be in good hands there. But it is really a shame, that it wasn't like this.

It is something these 2 rooms and the managers of them should feel ashamed of.
It is a no- no!!! They should apologise to her and also to all women, who they want to play still there at their rooms. Unbelievable, in which century do we live???

That's totally disgusting that she had to be subjected to that.

I have no idea what people expect to gain by being in that state of mind, except that maybe it makes them feel superior, some how. It has the exact opposite effect.

The people that berate, belittle, and degrade others have no place in my world.

I haven't played at ACR, or BCP for some time now, but this definitely cements it.

Sexist comments are very bad indeed when they are made , but maybe she went too far by deciding to leave the poker room , everyone makes mistakes , also these comments were made some months ago or not ?? Why resign now ???

I just don't understand her position... yes of course there are many sexist jerks in our world, that should be blatantly obvious to everyone... but what gives her the "right" to demand that others adhere to HER view of what is correct behavior?

She reminds me of someone who stomps her feet and throws a temper tantrum if she doesn't get her way. I'm sure she means well, and I know my words will make some view ME as the bad person, but this is how I feel about this whole embarassment. Trust me, I LIKE Vanessa Kade, I used to watch her twitch stream quite a bit and she's clearly a good poker player... but my suggestion is give up all the "holy self-righteousness", just play poker and let the jerks like Bilzerian sort themselves out. If she thinks she's somehow going to act as some influence to end all selfish jerk behavior, she's delusional.

In Kade's statement she claims there is an ongoing problem with the culture at ACR- it is not a resignation directly linked to Nagy's comments on the live stream.

For what it is worth, Nagy's comments were incredibly vulgar and the type of comments that someone makes 1) if they are used to making them 2) they can do so with impunity. That would indicate Nagy and others were used to behaving/joking in a certain manner.

That said, I do feel if you are going to publicly resign and blame the company then you should be a little more forthcoming. But, easy for me to say because I am sure if she took a more public stance other poker companies would shy away from using her to promote a site in the future. After all, I do not think it is about the sponsorship itself as Kade is a solid player who famously won the Sunday Millions.

Oh, for heaven's sake.

There are norms, both from a social as well as legal perspective as to what is acceptable behavior in a work environment. Further you seem to have completely missed the crux of the matter.

The Bilzerian incident happened when she was independent of ACR when Kade made a comment regarding Bilzerian hired by GG, as did thousands of others. However Bilzerian chose to reply to Kade with his very first GG Tweet calling her a 'Ho who no one knew'. Thanks to his toxic base she took a lot of abuse.

That matter died down and then she was hired by ACR. Phil Nagy, the owner then made a series of vulgar comments on a live stream. Chauvinistic clowns used the opportunity to go after Kade again, demanding she resign in protest.

Which would prove, between their harassment and your comment above that she can't win. Bilzerian's neanderthal followers demanding she resign and you telling her to put up with it.

As noted, there are legal standards regarding what is acceptable in a work environment. The reason there are such laws is because women stood up individually and collectively against such behavior. As for your dramatics, I am not aware she demanded others adhere to her view of correct behavior. I think the entire point of her resignation is that all parties at ACR should have understood they needed to amend their behavior after Nagy made an utter fool of himself with his vulgarity.

Kade's prerogative to resign and so she did.

Bilzerian's the kind of dirtbag I'd love to see taken down to his last dime (sadly his stakers last dime more likely)

Lady won the anniversary Sunday million early retirement from working for and with others and avoiding all the drama that annoys her is an option and focus on doing things for herself I reckon.
Horse play and banter that upsets some people but not other people occurs in every work place probably.:dontknow:
Would just buy a shirt like this if I was in her position and step down too forgot about it.:)

Yes, it happens in many work places, but this is also not okay!

I am working in a department with nearly only men and I am treated and paid correctly there. Same like them. No difference. And it should be like this in every company.
Therefore, also in poker it should be like this.
Of course she can win tourneys on her own, but being an ambassador also means having some advantages, monetary or somehow else. And why should woman not have this? :)

And honestly, I think the rooms also harm themselves with directors/managers and so on behaving like this. They will expell women and also men, who think reasonable, off from their rooms with such a behaviour and let it get through. It is very bad marketing for them...

Yup, there is banter in workplaces for sure, where some are too sensitive and others are definitely less than sensitive.

But, from a general perspective, I have less and less sympathy for those that cause offense because there is barely any work environment in the developed world that has not discussed and detailed which boundaries are not to be crossed, it being 2022 not 1970.
