Upswing Poker has been sold to ClubWPT Gold

Upswing Poker has been sold to ClubWPT Gold for an undisclosed amount. Doug Polk founded Upswing Poker in 2015 along with Ryan Fee and Matt Colletta.

For those who might not know much about Upswing Poker, it is a subscription-based training site helping poker players through videos, articles, charts and quizzes.

“After an almost decade-long run on our own, it’s time to make this a tag team event,” Upswing Poker founder Doug Polk said in a press release published on Upswing Poker. “These are two great companies that make the poker world a better place. While this marks new ownership of Upswing, it will now have the tools and resources to be even better in the coming years."

And that is not the only thing Club WPT Gold has been up to.
They have entered into some kind of collaboration with Jonathan Little's site. It was announced just days ago.

Kinda in different about Doug but he's been good for poker overall in my opinion and his site is certainly one of the better ones in my opinion(I've never subbed or spent any money) but he worked hard building it up. Good for him for cashing out at it's likely peak value(online poker isn't getting more popular and not likely too soon).

I've heard on Twitter he's staying on in some compacity so hopefully content quality won't be affected as I know a few who swear by his courses/site and it certainly helped improved their games.

PokerstrategyDOTcom isn't quite the same as Upswing. Their content can take a person far beyond the basic principles. They've got some great coaches there who are not only amazing teachers but also who are tops in their respective field in the game. (ie. one of their newest coaches on the roster > Aaron Barone (abarone68), one of the best Mid-Stakes MTT crushers playing online today)
