On the flipside, Ivey is no casino novice and he'd have to know all of the above - he'd [b]have[/b] to know that the casino would see straight through what he was doing.  He'd know that casinos aren't in the habit of allowing people who advantage play them to keep their winnings.

So what's really got me wondering is how he thought he'd be able to get away with it... in a lot of ways it seems Ivey and the casino were actually metagaming each other over the course of this session.

It's debatable whether what he did was actually cheating - after all, he never actually touched the cards, all he and his companion did was look at them.  It was the casino employees that arranged the deck to his liking and [b]let[/b] him keep playing with that deck.
