Elsby, who resides in Chandler, Arizona, first made a WSOP final table back in 2011, when he took fifth in the $1,500 limit hold’em event. He also earned $147,960 for finishing runner up in the 2012 Arizona State Poker Championship. He now has career lifetime live tournament earnings of $622,517.

In order to secure the bracelet, Elsby had to outlast both Alexander Kuzmin (5th) and Gabriel Nassif (2nd) at the final table. Other notables who made the money in this event included Mark Newhouse (26th), Daniel Negreanu (25th), Jorryt Van Hoof (22nd), Randal Flowers (20th), Ronnie Bardah (16th), David Chiu (14th), Matt Hawrilenko (11th), William Kakon (9th), Keven Stammen (8th), and Brian Hastings (7th).
