Online players calling the kettle black with the HUDS, shove charts and training aids, ok. whatever, lol. And just because something is "accepted" doesn't make it right either is my point. And you ppl can rant about what some poker personality says all you want, that's your deal. But this naive nonsense there aren't people playing that are going to use every angle to win or get help so they have info to give them an advantage at the table. . . is just silly and I'm not talking about some obvious dirtbag like Russ Hamiliton knowing your hole cards online. My point is, don't be naive and protect yourself whether online or live. If someone can't understand that playing live you have pay attention to what's going on and protect yourself and stop socializing sometimes or this thinking that everyone is buddy buddy and its just a meet up game then you're going to be "surprised" when these things happen. Whether its Jack Strauss hiding a chip under a napkin and NOT saying all in; Or whether Men pulled chips back because he's out of it not knowing the count and didn't know how much the all in had or whether he did try to pull a fast one; Or its a drunk trying to take chips out of YOUR stack to play a hand they're in late one night because YOU'RE not protecting YOUR stack. Or its a bunch of players trying to win big pots on some obscure house ruling that nobody really knows but somehow, a bunch of "kids" that haven't been playing a long know these rules and use them on you although you actually "won" the hand, lol. I heard about that Men hand because I was curious about the boom players and heard about it but for no one to spot it from the dealer being lazy to pulling chips away and doing an accurate count of the allin, to players around Men not knowing opponent counts or simply not recognizing how much the pot is for to the winner of the hand not realizing from what I understand they're missing chips until they're moved to ANOTHER table? I mean, what are these people doing at the table??? Watching cat videos on their phones??? Running poker sims (lol) or paying attention to poker shove charts? We all know nobody was doing that, lol "wink, wink", lol. What were they doing? Where were the players at the table????? Why didn't anyone question this?? And depending on the floor, the dealer, cameras, or someone else to protect YOUR interests is . . . , well . . not the way to go, to put it nicely, lol. Sure, they're there to help but like with those kids and the obscure ruling that they and only the floor knew, its not always going to go in your interests, so don't be naive. Pay attention to whats going on. If you don't like something bring it to the attention to the floor immediately like with Tamayo because how long were they doing that? And since the other person lost, now everyone is crying??? Really? And here's the truth about the WSOP: a lot of players see it when there's a chance they can get really lucky and win a lot of money and that's fine. But its also a time when a lot of serious/professional players are trying their best to make their yearly quota or to get buyins for events or whatever from all that dead money coming to town so they can continue playing or make a living from either the tourns or cash games happening in Vegas during the WSOP and the other major tourns running at the same time. And they feel the pressure and I'm sorry to say but I'm sure they might go into the "grey area" to keep going. Is it right? Of course not, but you have to think about that as well. This post is way too long, you folks have the last word but don't be naive and protect yourself and become informed. And get used to playing live before you shell out a ton of money in airfare, hotel event entries food etc on a trip to the WSOP or wherever and its going to be your first time playing live or you have limited experience playing at other casinos or you're not racking up hours in a live chair. That's what local casinos whether you prefer tourns or cash and the circuit is for. Learn how things operate live and be able to glance at stacks and know what people have or at least have a clue. I still can't fathom how that Men hand happened. Even if you're tired after playing for lots of hours and multiple days back to back. That's basic paying attention to the action whether in or out of a hand. Anyway, good luck folks.
