Jake Schindler, one of my favorite players, just won the $250,000 High Roller event at the Merit Hotel and Casino Cyprus for a cool $3,200,000. Baller final table.

For those who haven't watched, many of the streams are still available via PokerGo on You Tube. Though PokerGo is subscription I believe the agreement with the Super High Roller Series was they would provide coverage free to air. Also, Phil Ivey won two events of the five final tables he made this week..

Close to 150,000 watched the final table which just closed out hours ago.

Yeah, wagon596, he really has been one of my favorite players over the last couple of years - everything about his game, not just his play itself (in terms of strategy) but style and demeanor at the table as well.

However, it has to be faced he apparently has been a relentless cheat on the online poker streets along with the likes of Ali Imsirovic for some time.

This first came to my attention at the end of last year and I wanted to dismiss the rumors, but then the matter (obviously) arose again recently. Schindler was barred from pokerstars many years ago and then more recently from GG Poker also (along with Imsirovic) for what people believe are using a stable and ghosting as well as RTA.

Matters came to a head last week when although Schindler and Imsirovic were allowed to enter the European Poker Tour's 100k high roller event in Monaco, when they went to register for the 50K event they were turned away, Reportedly they then came later to try to enter the main event they were told their business was not welcome. Though the EPT has not issued a public statement, it is believed so many people spoke up about them still being allowed to play in a live EPT event, PokerStars extended the ban to live events also.

It gets worse.

The original post was concerning the Triton High Roller series event held in Cyprus a short while ago. The next Triton series starts in Barcelona this week and there has been some speculation that Imsirovic and Schindler will be barred from that series also (Imsirovic caught looking at someone's cards in the last event also). Matt Berkey today was saying that according to his sources, they will be barred.

It's a terrible shame but if, so they have brought it on themselves for compulsively cheating. As so many have said (including Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk on Polk's latest podcast), the ridiculous thing being they are both world class players making millions who never needed to cheat at all.

Staggers the imagination.
