I was wondering if somebody could help me.
Every now and then I enjoy playing some online poker.
Being in Australia and enjoying a few hands online is a tricky situation at the best of times.
I have held crypto assets for some time and have made several deposits to online poker rooms, casinos, and the like with zero hassles. It's really a very easy thing to do once you've done it a few times.
I did a google search for the best Australian online poker site and on one of the top review sites, they recommended ignition poker as their number 1.
I signed up and made a $250 deposit in ETH, or so I thought.
On several occasions (as I mentioned), I have made deposits straight from my Binance spot wallet to the gaming site and have never had a problem; until yesterday.
Ignition never credited my $250 AUD worth of ethereum, and after doing some research into the transaction and possible ways to recover it - I discovered the following.
It appears that I sent them ETH on the wrong network. Instead of ERC20, I used the BEP20, or Binance Smart Chain network to send it to them.
With the TxId --> 0x84aa3b38fd0d167565b68d6d9c4af3d9ede8adacc67e8e24500c5bac98408ba1 , it looks to me when I examine the ledger on the Binance Smart Chain Explorer (bscscan) that the transaction was successful, but they are in possession of 0.052126 Binance Peg Ethereum Token. At the time of deposit, 0.052126 ethereum was roughly $250 AUD.

I have been through the help centre on Binance, and it has left their platform, so it's out of their hands. They have suggested that I contact Ignition to resolve the situation (which I've done but am not hopeful of a good outcome).
I've literally spent 12 hours researching if and how this can be recovered. I have read Binance's tutorials and watched plenty of YouTube videos, and it seems that if you have sent a token over the wrong network, such as the Binance Smart Chain Network instead of the ERC20 network and the balance never reflected at that address, there are steps you can take to recover it.
I have read several articles and watched examples on YouTube of people using Metamask to connect to the Binance Smart Chain Network to recover their tokens. I've had a few goes myself but I'm really stuck. I can see that the Peg Ethreum Token (The Binance Smart Chain version of ethereum) is sitting in their address - or at an address, but have an awful feeling that I need their private keys to recover it.
Is anybody able to help me with this? I would be so darned appreciative!
