Well they most likely all watch rich loud big mouth whales and high stakes clowns play on streams/tv and think that's how poker is played and won. Which I may only be a micro/low stakes long time winning player up too 50nl online but I can tell you 1 billion % that's not how poker is won long term online at the stakes majority of us play. Also to the majority of online players which are micro/low stakes all they see is numbers, a score and cards(gamer mentally) on a screen, also they have no patience, are just clicking a buttons and want satisfaction and too win NOW. Most of them also stopped learning anything poker since the first week/month they started learning. Which was likely during the Moneymaker poker boom for a lot of them and if it wasn't they've been brought up to know only 1 main thing about poker be aggressive, raise and re-raise.
Now days a number of playing styles can win at micro/low stakes online if one has the patience, pays attention and is even a decent player with common sense. I still make stupid mistakes that cost me and wouldn't consider myself that a good player.....but I'm still a winning micro/low stakes player who actually withdraws and spends profits.
Hell when you're busted online you don't even have to walk to the ATM for money and the cage for more chips. There just instantly there(if you still have money in you account) just click a button. In not it's a few button clicks 2-3 mins tops and bam you have more money. I walk to the ATM and cage can take upwards to 20-30+ mins plus sometimes before the chips are in hand. Which at times has saved me from buying back in when playing live.
EDIT to answer question OP asked: My level of courage not very high. I like winning cashing out and spending the profits. I try play smart and patience and adapt to player I'm playing in the moment. I stick to the plan/
bankroll/stakes and fight off tilt best I can. I also make time too study either weekly or monthly depending on volume.
Correction to this sentence "My level of courage not very high". With that said I have no issue with courage when it comes to getting it in and playing aggressive. How I play depends on how the players I'm playing in the moment are playing. Adapt and exploit. My courage just isn't very high as I don't often play above my head when it comes to stakes or bankroll.
Cheers!!!
