Just playing a $3.30 knockout mtt. this guy to my right has a huge stack, 250bb. he's playing every hand with crap and hitting more often than not. I wait for a good hand, and get AQs. he does his standard raise to 5bb, I 3 bet to 15bb, he shoves and I call. he laughs in the emoji. he shows Q2s. flop is 29T two suits, he's yet again ahead, and goes on to river a flush. it was the way he laughed when i called that got me thinking he's a shill. thoughts?

yeah they get paid to play to get games going online. it wasnt unlucky, he knew he had me beat before gthe cards came

He probably laughed because he knew his play was terrible. Some people just donk around and have fun while playing micros/lowstakes. 3.30 $ is not the world for everyone.

Nothing new, this is a standard situation, whoever has a huge stack wins 90% of the time with any card.

I think it’s more likely he has laughed because you caught him out with his bluff.

It’s ironic because I’m not shilling for the villain here but I’ve seen lots of players who simultaneously play multiple mtts with this strategy and hope for deep runs with huge stacks in a couple of them.

A few famous streamers do this, Lex Veldhuis was super aggressive in his younger streaming days playing huge quantities of tables at once making snap decisions and was such a pioneer in that field.

Maybe Q2 has meaning to the villain, maybe he was drunk.
There are so many factors that it’s impossible to know for sure. Anything is possible though I am not disputing your claim, all you can do is continue to play correctly as you did and you are sure to be rewarded in the long term.

There is no need for sites to employ someone to get an online MTT going, since it has a scheduled starting time. Some psycical casinos pay people to keep cash games going, but thats very different.

No he did not. He was just having fun and enjoying his good run. Untilt yourself and move on
