Playing completely unphased W or L as an edge

I've played online poker for quite a few years, used to hate losing with a passion! ..go on full tilt and lose even bigger.. not just in the game I was in, but in many games after trying desperately to regain my initial loss. But as I've matured as a player I've become unphased by ANY result.. even the donkies shoving all in with 7 2 off and beating my premium holdings in the runout.. sure it still doesn't feel good,but it doesn't make me want full on crazy war with these players, I VERY soon forget it and focus on the next hand or game if I'm eliminated.

Playing cool like this gives me a mental edge over the many player I face daily, this game attracts so many nasty narrsasistic ego crazy idiots, I just laugh at how pathetic they are. When they steam because their weak ace in early pos lost to KK it's funny watching their next moves.. usually going all in with total junk.

I've learnt that these types of players are most welcome because they are the best payers over the long term.

Does anyone think a mental edge is better than a mathematical edge? My math is pretty crap due to learning disabilities.

They are both important, but I will say, that "mathematical edge" is perhaps not the best word for technical poker skills. These are not only about calculating pot odds or estimating equity. They are also about memorizing charts and about hand reading. Or if you will "poker instincts". I will say though, that if I had to choose, then being free from tilt problems is a good beginning. Then you can always work on improving your technical skills. Whereas no matter how good you are at poker technically, it does not help, if you go on massive tilt and either lose all your money or need to stop playing, every time you suffered a bad beat etc.
