So, it's been a few months since the government got in the way of our hobby. How are you adjusting / dealing with the new world? Here's my summary so far... PokerStars - desktop version, seems like the software is still quite slow, but the Home Game issues appear to be ironed out. Sit-n-Go tournaments are nearly non-existent, there are just not enough people signing up. Tournaments are quite active, but low population. As of this post, PS reports that there are 36,728 players online, but I don't know where the heck they are. That number cannot possibly be Ontario-only players, can it? 888 Poker - thank goodness for the freerolls, and the Free Spins. Took a few weeks to work out their geo-location issues for me, but now that those are resolved, I have no issues with my account. No Sit-n-Go tournaments hurts, but at least there are some freerolls and tickets being handed out. No indication that I can find regarding logged in players at this time. PartyPoker - good software, and the MyGame feature is kind of nice. As with PokerStars, Sit-n-Gos are also a ghost town, but the tournaments are active, like PS, but not many players. Right now, there are 232 players logged in. I am enjoying PartyPoker right now, more than the other sites, followed by 888, then PS. I don't know that I would play PS cash tournaments, if I didn't already have money there, but if I run out of bankroll, I will decide then whether or not to continue there. The Home Game feature is still very viable (thank you, CardsChat!) and I wish more of my friends would get their act together so we could play again. Party and 888 just have more money options, such as they are, for me, so that is where I spend most of my time.
