It's amazing for me to hear that you've been playing live poker for more than 10 years. I've played maybe 10 too... but 10 times live 😂 I've only been on cardschat for 1 year and that same year playing online for real money. Something that is important to me is to have understood very well from the beginning that variance or luck or whatever they want to call it. It's just a part of the game. So with that premise. If I like the game of poker then I must accept the variance as it is. The videos that I found here in the forum on the topic and other videos of professionals talking about variance helped me a lot. However, I must say that it is quite hard to accept and very easy to think that you are being cheated. Especially in my case. Because I made more than 15M in fictitious money in PS. Without ever buying chips, only with the 15K that they give you every 4 hours. In less than a year. I did more than 15M. Which made me think about trying with real money. I have several theories why I believe that in fictitious money I achieved so much what I haven't achieved in a year with real money. One of those theories inevitably is that in a certain way everything is tricked up so that the same result is not achieved. In the end. I firmly believe so far at least that it is a combination of factors that include how rigged the poker rooms can be with their games in their entirety. Say SnG, MTT, Spins, etc. Everyone has their way so that you don't win, and especially so that you spend on keeping trying. For me, it's not about believing that there are bots or that the poker room has algorithms to make you lose, etc. Rather, I'm sure that the design of each specific tournament or game is tricked in and of itself so that you never win. And if we add to that the variance and that obviously I am not an expert in the game. Well, the chances of success are complicated. 😫🤣
