Being an old timer, my equipment is now outdated ( ie. MacBook 2008 using OS ver. 10.10).
I stopped doing updates to it a long time ago because of the amount of time it took to boot up from 20-30 seconds to 2-3 minutes. Now the Apple technician said that the OS couldn’t be upgraded, so now I am looking at a new computer. This combined with some sites requiring a mobile phone number is quite frustrating. So I guess I will just have to keep up to date.

2008 is a long time ago. I don't even know how many computers I've changed since 2008, I think at least five. As for me, technology is becoming outdated too quickly now, and my piggy bank is no longer able to keep up.

The hell?...... a 16 year old computer?, I'm surprised it even booted at all

...I think my oldest computer was a 13 year old gateway desktop,

not sure why I kept it so long but I don't miss waiting for it to load lol,

treat yourself to something new and fast 😎👍

Which device to use? PC, laptop, mobile. Whatever suits you best. I play cash games 6-handed. To this purpose I use my iphone. It seems easier. Should I play MTT I’d stick to my MacBook Pro since full ring tables are suboptimal to an iPhone imo.

I don't know about Macs, but my PC is 11 years old and still meets my needs. PCs don't go out of date like they used to.
I might upgrade when Windows 10 reaches its end of support date.

For anyone using a Mac computer the following information may be of use.
In order to play on WPT Global you must have macOS Mojave version 10.146 as the minimum requirement with 4GB ram recommended.
This is from the horse's mouth.

People laugh, but it's an issue for some. We have friends who are techno dinosaurs. They pay top dollar for the privilege of using really, really old cable Internet and TV equipment because they're been afraid of updating. They were finally forced to move into the 20th century when their 'antique' modem recently died. Now they love the voice interaction with their new TV remote.

The wife (she's the early adopter in the couple) has been talking for years about moving up from her flip phone to a smart phone (because all her friends have one), but I'm pretty sure that won't actually happen till the old flip phone dies. Oddly, they're paying a lot for the equivalent of smartphone service without a smart phone.

I have a very old macbook air too, but it's too old to play poker and I prefer windows to play poker. This year I bought an acer predator and it's really good to play poker and do other things while I'm playing.

I've just moved from a Mac to an entry level HP Windows gaming PC. Same thoughts as Cooking above and I wouldn't go back. A decent size monitor can make a lot of difference imo.

I just purchased a used 2017 MacBook Air with 8 GB memory and 1.8 GHz processor running under macOS Montery 12.7.6.
Using my old monitor, the cost was much cheaper than buying a new Imac.
It should last me for my remaining years LOL.
I have played on WPT Global and Replay (freerolls only so far) problem free.
