Honestly, I stopped playing multiple tables at once, and it felt like I rediscovered real poker. I used to think the more tables I played, the more chances I'd have to win — but what really happened was I kept losing focus, missing spots, and busting out of every table one by one. I remember trying two tables once, and I felt like I was spinning in circles. One table had an all-in, the other had a guy chatting like we were on Facebook Live, and I was just… lost. My brain? Frozen from the first hand 😅
Then I switched back to one table, and everything changed. I started focusing more, reading players, playing comfortably. The result? My win rate went up, my losses went down. I realized that playing one table with full attention is way better than three where I’m basically just clicking buttons and watching chips disappear.
And when someone tells me, “You need to play four tables to make real money,” I just say, “I’m a poker player, not an ATM machine!” 😄
So am I the only one who found peace with a single table? Or are there others out there who feel the same?

Agreed sometimes less is more.
I can handle 2 Mtts at once with full focus but when I opt in for more , focus goes down

Agree. My limit is 2 full-ring tables cash or MTT or a mix of both doesn't matter. I need to be able to resize the tables so they both fit on my 32' inch screen so I can see them both at the same time. It's the only way for my.

Cheers!!!

How many tables do you play now?

It makes sense, because you can be more focused in the game when you play only one table. I'm too anxious to play only one table, I need to play more than one table and usually do something else while I play poker, probably the reason why my results are not good...lol

I think you did the right thing. If you're not satisfied with your results, then you need to change something, and that's what you did. I've been playing at several tables for a long time. For me, 3-4 tables is the standard number where I can analyze my opponents. ;)

The optimum number of tables for a pro poker player depends on their skill, focus, and goals, but generally ranges from 4 to 8 tables for online play. Playing more tables increases volume and potential earnings but reduces the ability to make complex decisions. Fewer tables allow better reads and advanced plays. Many pros find 6 tables a sweet spot for balancing quality and quantity, while some specialists handle 12+ with simplified strategies. Start small, add gradually, and prioritize win rate over sheer volume.

Naaah, playing one table is not a good idea on my opinion, i would say 6-8 is optimal for good reg, for begginers at least 2, personally i can play comfortably 4 tables, more tables > more hands > more everything.

But do whatever you feel works best for you personally, everyone is different

I’ve also tried playing 4–6 tables, and it was really hard for me to stay focused.
You’re just jumping around with your eyes, trying to follow everything —
and it’s tough to remember how each player played certain hands.

But when I play just one table, I can actually pay attention,
get a feel for who’s sitting there, and figure out how to play against each of them.

Well mathematically you are profitable till three tables, the fourth brings you a neutral economic situation and from the fifth table you start to lose. I personally prefer one or two tables, because it is easier to play correctly and enjoy the game.

You can focus more and see how the other playing play the game, if you play a lot of tables is extremely difficult to do that.

It depends on how you see poker, If ure playing to have fun, maybe 2 tables while watching TV or something seems nicier than 6-8 tables at once..
In the Brazilian staking team that i've played most players play 6 tables minimum, MTTs only,
In an average of 400-800 tournaments per month ...
But they and me aswell were trying to be professionals, if it is not your goal, you should do what its best for you...

Egyetértek, néha a kevesebb több.
Egyszerre 2 Mtts-t tudok kezelni teljes fókuszálással, de ha többet választok, a fókusz csökken
I can play on a maximum of 4 tables, but you have to decide quickly.

You have to quickly decide whether to give it or throw it.

If playing alone at one table is the best thing for you, I think that's perfect. Personally, it depends a lot on my state at the time of playing. Sometimes it's better to play at one table, and other times I feel better playing at several at once.

Obviously its best to do, whatever you feel most comfortable with. I do have to question you statement, that "your winrate went up", though, since you are likely measuring the effect over this change in strategy over a much to small sample size for it to be more than meaningless short term variance.

This focus is all about to be trained as well... If you now can only focus on 1, continue and the go to 2, and etc... for me is normal playing like 8 to 10 tables and my results today is better than before
