My bad runs are usually in one (or few rooms) each time. Like recently I was running really bad on PS, I think I didn't win anything for around 2 months, but I win in other rooms to compensate.

Hello. Now I noticed this thread and it made me think about how long it's been since I've been a punter, I'm either playing poorly or going through a slump, meaning I'm just hitting the spot without results. I think I have over half from year to year in this situation...but I tend to blame my lifestyle and the major changes I'm going through, where still: it could be better!.
I say let's get over it all! We are moving forward 👍

at pokerstars - since I've registered, it's just a terrible poker site full of unblivable bad beats when 1-2 outs always work, 3 outs? = nuts. At other poker sites +/- everything is fine, week or two of downswings then back to normal.

I have played with you at the same table several times and I noticed that you often take risks and play with insufficiently strong hands. Maybe this is the reason for your bad results?

For me it makes no sense to talk about "the longest unlucky period". We never know, exactly what our luck adjusted results would have been, and just because we are losing (or at least not winning), does not mean, we have been unlucky. Its also entirely possible, we have just played worse than our opponents. Or at least not had a big enough skill edge to overcome the rake. My point is, that it can easily become a mental excuse, that we are in a "downtrend" or "unlucky period", and since we cant do anything about variance, it only takes focus away from the things, we actually control.

In general, for different players, an unlucky period is a relative concept... For some, bad luck may be winning some measly $10,000 per month instead of the expected $100,000 ))))

A few weeks mostly caused by bad decisions influenced by mood and external factors, excess risk or cunning... establishing a strategy and analyzing your opponents when playing allows you to make better decisions and at the same time obtain better results

2-3 months ,but I always think there is only one way to really loose and that is to quit.I just keep going and doing what I enjoy and that is playing poker,winning or loosing comes second.

I didn’t have a particularly long negative, the maximum was when I was without big wins for 2 weeks, and then I was only sifting through the bankroll with only 20-22% of the buyin, maybe because I play microlimits
