Cool, any knowledge is always useful.I know several languages and several nations, which gives me an advantage when playing at the table with other people of different ethnicities, such as Russian and French speakers.
Exactly , otherwise collusion is a real possibility. I saw on YouTube maybe 3 months ago a huge hand, and while one person might have not been involved , they were speaking Mandarin non-stop while American guy was deciding what to doI could see knowing other languages may help, if there is a conversation you overhear at a break time, during a tourney or while you step away from a cash game, for a while.
However, most casinos don't let players speak any language other than English.
Like I agree, it could be useful, but I would not go out learning a new language just for poker.
