I would recommend trying Ramsey's Beef Wellington at the Paris at least once. The two other Ramsey restaurants are at Caesar's and Planet Hollywood respectively. If you have a diamond card or higher your lineup time will be short(er).

To complement poker I would suggest spending some time at the blackjack, pai gow and craps tables where your risk is minimized with intelligent play. (It's nice to have gourmet meals comped...Martorano's ..etc.)

I have walked the entire strip as well as several streets parallel to it, meandered around Red Rock, walked from new to old Vegas (and back) a few times.. as well as some very pretty and very gritty areas.

Regarding eating out (or in) generally speaking, have an appetite, be among good friends and have something to look forward to after your repast. And if you are of the mind to, you can help a homeless person or someone in need not with cash but rather with something like a restaurant card (Subway...) so they can have something decent.
