Online poker is totally different primarily that the deck of playing cards is random in that the RNG distributes based on a software that is strictly in relation to the cards you receive, a flop often under the question mark! Programmers are the only ones who know what conditions they imposed on that software!!! If you have played on several poker platforms you may notice a difference in the distribution of cards that appear on the flop depending on the players who play different hands.I live poker is something else and can be credited with playing correctly and professional players making mistakes as a result of at least double the time from one hand to the next, thus becoming unbought and sometimes losing Strictly necessary gameplay in this game.
Because online play produces more hands faster, players see more rare situations, making it feel non-random. However this is complete nonsense.
pokerstars, GGPoker, wsop, etc. have insane regulations that would not allow that and outside companies audit the software very strictly.
Cheating in live games is possible but insanely difficult and non-existent if you are playing in Casino's and not shady pub/home games. Good luck cheating in Casino with a Deckmate or try to collude. You will be sniffed out within few days easily.Cheating also happen in live poker. Have you heard about Mike Postle for instance?Live, well, at least you see the cards being shuffled and distributed to players.
Online way harder since they use AI anti-cheat and almost every single website such as GGPoker, WSOP, PokerStars uses digital fingerprint to see your activity, how many times you click off the window, what websites you go onto etc.
To me, live poker is excruciatingly difficult and only reason I really love it is because of the social aspect. But not be able to see the pot count and chip count of every player exact. To be able to bet with clean math 33%, 50%, 100% etc is really a huge pain.
Especially when you buy in and they give you like 5-6 chips in huge denominations that you have to call out etc, can be nerve wrecking.
