I’ve been following the wsop 2025 this summer, and I wanted to share a few of my thoughts about it.

First of all, the scale was incredible again — so many bracelet events, with some new formats like Battle of the Ages and T.O.R.S.E. It feels like WSOP is always finding new ways to keep the game exciting.

The Main Event was especially epic. Seeing Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi win his 8th bracelet and take down the $10K Main Event just adds another chapter to his legendary career. I think his mix of patience and aggression throughout the deep stages was really inspiring.

On the other hand, not everything was perfect. There were some controversies, like accusations of chip dumping during the Millionaire Maker, which really hurts the image of such a prestigious series. Hopefully WSOP will find better ways to prevent situations like that.

Overall though, I was impressed. The level of competition was super high, the atmosphere looked amazing, and even though it’s tough for new stars to break through, the poker world definitely got another reminder of how beautiful this game can be.

What about you guys — what stood out for you during WSOP 2025? Did you like the new formats, or do you prefer the classic events?

I think that the highlight is always the most eventful, especially because of the mere power of a ticket.

I agree, the scale of WSOP 2025 felt bigger than ever. The addition of new formats really stood out to me too — it’s refreshing to see the series trying to keep things exciting while still honoring tradition. Watching Mizrachi take down the Main Event was special; you could tell his experience and composure really carried him through those tough late stages.

At the same time, I share your concern about the controversies. Situations like chip dumping definitely hurt the image of the series, and it’s something WSOP needs to handle better moving forward. The spotlight is so big on these events that even small issues can create a lot of noise, and I think players and fans deserve the cleanest competition possible.

What impressed me the most, though, was the atmosphere and the passion around the tables. You could feel how much it means for both new players chasing their first bracelet and legends adding to their legacy. That mix of history, competition, and dreams being realized is what makes the WSOP so special every single year.

in the end luck and run good is the difference, just look at The Grinder, 3 all ins all underdog, get somehow there on the turn vs kk, or on two rivers to double up, and end up winning it all

As good as M. Mizrachi is he doesn't need that kind of sick luck deep in the main event . It was hard to watch him make so many plays that turned out to be negative EV and somehow come out smelling great . There were other players who seemed more skilled and knowledgeable at no limit holdem . I guess it shows how much luck is involved in the $10k main even at the highest levels . One card can change your whole life !
