That clip is 15 years now and its crazy how fast time goes by. That clip is of Eric when he was 21 who is probably a different person now. I don't know the details of the table but Jaime Gold was known for talking and going back and forth with people ALL THROUGHOUT THAT TOURN so I wouldn't judge Eric because of his age and I don't know what was going on at the table. Most of the stuff shown on TV is edited down and I really wouldn't be surprised that Eric was a decent if not good player but everyone thought they were going to step over him because of his youthful image and he wasn't going to stand for it. The nature of NL Holdem is all about bullying, intimidation, and stealing from folks. There are ways you should conduct yourself online and live but some folks either don't know to conduct themselves or feel they've been treated one through someone's play and decide they'd give it back verbally so they do. The other thing is playing a lot of hours for days and days in the WSOP ME with having the pressure of cashing brings out the worst in people as well. So I wouldn't be so quick to judge and I'd give him a pass for being a 21 year old probably playing in the biggest tourn of his life with "characters" at the table. And I really would be surprised if the kid saw the cameras and played the part just to get on TV, lol. If you grind on a regular basis live then the folks at the casino are going to notice you and take notice of you. I never noticed that and it hit me after grinding for awhile but a lot of folks even the ones I never played before at the cash tables knew me and the floor people were always nice but different in a nicer way after awhile, lol. The dealers and the floor folks don't need the irritation of dealing with unruly players/folks looking to make the games "interesting" in that manner and giving that persona scares folks away that could pay your electricity bill as a professional player so acting that way can really hurt you. And you also have to be careful with talk like that live because you never know who you're playing and a group might be waiting for you once you leave the casino property, lol. So I get that its a way of getting rid of your frustration but it will hurt you if you actually try his live and in more ways than you can come up with.
