Hey poker community šŸ‘‹

Lately, I’ve been diving deep into Short Deck (6+ Hold’em), and let me tell you — it’s a completely different beast compared to traditional Texas Hold’em.

With just 36 cards in the deck (2s through 5s removed), the action is non-stop. Big hands come fast, and so do the bad beats. But that’s what makes it so damn exciting. One moment you’re sitting pretty with a set, next thing you know, someone hits a straight with A-6-7-8-9 😱.

And don’t even get me started on the hand rankings — flushes beat straights in most versions, and preflop equities run super close. The variance is real, but so is the adrenaline.

What I love most is that bluffing becomes more complex, and ranges shift drastically. You need to rethink everything from scratch — it’s like learning poker all over again.

Question to you all:
  • Are you playing Short Deck?
  • What’s been your biggest challenge or coolest moment so far?
Let’s talk strategy, traps, and epic runouts. šŸ’¬
