Hey poker community š
Lately, Iāve been diving deep into Short Deck (6+ Holdāem), and let me tell you ā itās a completely different beast compared to traditional Texas Holdāem.
With just 36 cards in the deck (2s through 5s removed), the action is non-stop. Big hands come fast, and so do the bad beats. But thatās what makes it so damn exciting. One moment youāre sitting pretty with a set, next thing you know, someone hits a straight with A-6-7-8-9 š±.
And donāt even get me started on the hand rankings ā flushes beat straights in most versions, and preflop equities run super close. The variance is real, but so is the adrenaline.
What I love most is that bluffing becomes more complex, and ranges shift drastically. You need to rethink everything from scratch ā itās like learning poker all over again.
