Excuse my ignorance but I would like to know if there is a book or someone who can help me understand a little better the terms that are mostly used in poker because there are some things that I have already learned of course but many that escape me and sometimes I do not understand anything when watching a video or some explanation right here if someone could help me please... Sometimes I do not understand anything because it seems like another language haha... if someone can help me thanks

Ask specific questions here, you'll get answers.
There is a lot of jargon associated with poker but it is not difficult and learning it helps you think and communicate about the game.

<3 I do not know if we have a poker terms thread <3 I will look into it, but there is a Spanish thread <3 and an amazing guide that might be able to help you out <3

<3 I will look around for a poker terms thread <3 or suggest making one :) Hugs and have the best day!
@billibooo we do have a couple places for terms, although I feel like some of these may be out-dated. But, still they could help.
@villa1306 check out this thread: Commonly Used Poker Abbreviations and Terms
We also have this: Poker Glossary

And this is a catalog of all our different learning threads, articles, and tools to keep handy: CardsChat Poker Learning Hub: A Complete Guide

Ask specific questions here, you'll get answers.

I just wanted to highlight monkey's post - because this is a good option too. Use this thread to ask specific questions. If you have a video clip, you can share it with us here, and we can help you. If it's a YouTube video, make sure to tick the box that shares the video at or near the specific timestamp where the phrase or phrasing is used. :)

I am going to move this thread to the Learning poker forum, because I am sure you are not the only one with these questions. :)

poker books and poker training videos can help you learn the "poker language".

Or with AI, you can ask it to explain the term that you want to learn about and why its important.

It can be a bit confusing because people often misuse terms like "donk betting", "pot odds", "implied odds", "gto", and "big blinds".
