Mental strength is the most important thing in poker. We are human, we make mistakes, we lose focus, we lose patience, we get frustrated and we breakdown mentally. The longer it takes for the breakdown to happen the better our poker results will be and then recovering from the breakdown faster is also key to better long-term success. In your opinion, what’s the most important thing in poker — patience, experience, or mental strength?
Personally, I value patience the most.
I’ve seen this in my own case — when I used to think I was playing well, I was actually making more mistakes. The more I learn now, the more I realize how little I used to know.Trying to genuinely improve, rather than argue for why you're already good. Most people do the second only and so they never get better. With most other games, you can be as ego obsessed as you want and you will improve anyway because just playing is enough. In poker this is not the case; you can play for decades without improving.
This is more important than patience. It doesn't matter if you're always on top of your game if the top of your game isn't enough to beat the field.
Absolutely true. Mental breakdowns are natural, but how fast we recover from them makes all the difference. In poker, it's not just about skill — mental stability plays a huge role in long-term success.Mental strength is the most important thing in poker. Poker is not just about cards — it’s a mental battlefield. Only the strong survive. 💪🧠♠️I think they're all important but I'm gonna have to go with mental strength....
poker is not a game for the weak at heart...., poker can be cruel,
the mental game of poker is a huge part of the game😎👍
Absolutely! Understanding cards is just the start — reading opponents, adapting to styles, and staying emotionally balanced is what really separates good players from great ones.🌿The most important skill in poker is the ability to read hands and situations, as well as the ability to adapt to different playing styles and control emotions. It is important to be able to not only understand your cards and the likelihood of winning them, but also to assess the strength of your opponents' hands and their possible actions.
