If you use the normal opening range charts you should be opening 1st in about 20% of the time. According to the Pros if you see someone with a VPIP of less than17% he is a nit.
I use the normal tables and play tight but don't consider myself a nit. Over the last 6 months I have been monitoring my VPIP, I am at 10. It has been a bad 6 months.
What is a typical VPIP?

VPIP 10 is a Nit. But at least you can probably make some successful bluffs with such a tight table image. VPIP 20-25 is quite common but even that is not loose in my view.

... depends what type of game you're playing,

but generally anywhere from 15 to 25%,

playing only ten% of hands is a significant leak👍

Mine runs anywhere from 12-25% depending on the session/table. Long term avg is likely 17-19%. I also tend to switch gears to try and take advantage of my table image in my sessions. So if in a session my VPIP is on the lower side say 10-12% I'll throw in more bluffs in the right spots. If my VPIP tends to be on the higher side in a session I'll tight up a bit and still get action because guys will look the VPIP and think I'm playing looser/wider ranges.

Cheers!!!

Around 15-20% for 9-max and 20-25% for 6-max.

How much do you open your range? Ax or low suited connectors from late position? If your VPIP is 20-25 you are well beyond the typical range charts.

What stakes do you play?
Because I am 101% sure that strategy does not works at freerolls/low stakes

2nl-50nl full-ring cash and $5+ MTT's. I don't consistently play freerolls as they're more like bingo.

Cheers!!!

If you are only playing 10% of hands, that is really nitty. I’m curious to see what you consider a Nit?
