Even with my audio and video settings on the lowest possible, I'm still getting pretty big video sizes.

Any suggestions from those who have done a few vids and know about how to get the smallest file size possible?

Yes sir. I talked to AG about this a while back. In your recording software, use standard settings like 10 frames per second, etc. Also, make sure you shrink your recording area down as small as possible. I find when I use the "Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2" codec, it gives me good quality at a reasonable file size. Then what I think is a very important tip for getting smaller file sizes is to set your audio to "11.025 kHz, Mono, 8-bit" compressed with PCM.

With these settings/tips, I find that I can get 30 mins of video down to around 100-120MB AVI. You could probably get it down lower, but the quality would be crappy. That means a video of a 1-hour SNG would be around 220-240MB AVI.

wow, I guess I can't get it any lower, then. That $6.50/18 vid I just did was only ~70mb and 40mins long. It had terrible video quality, but was definitely viewable.

Thanks anyways, Stick. I'll try those settings and see if maybe I can shrink it even more.
