Have you ever encountered a hand that you couldn't fold, I have encountered it many times, how did you deal with it?

It's hard to fold a straight flush draw - which is actually a flush draw and an OESD. So many outs! Plus of course there's the stigma of missing a straight flush because you chose not to see the next card.

The only cards I've encountered that I "couldn't" fold were ones that were sure winners or the nuts as it's called. Otherwise, it's usually pretty clear when you're beat. If I'm having a bad game I may call those anyway just to get it over with and move on to something else.

You just have to retreat and continue with the next hand.

You're referring to tilt if you mean know you should fold but do not fold. There is a great book The Mental Game of Poker--author Jared Tendler it is inexpensive and worth the purchase.

It depends on what you mean by "unfoldable". Some hands are indeed unfoldable by GTO, like aces or kings preflop, most of the flush draws on the flop or good flushes or strong top pairs on normal boards. In these instances you just don't fold them (unless you are facing an opponent that deviates heavily from optimal play) and if you lose - you just lose. It just has to happen occasionally, while you want to remain profitable and unexploitable.

If you just have a hand that looks good but you know it is too weak in this particular spot, you just have to learn how to fold them and abandon any hope for a good runout, usually reminding yourself that if you played this particular spot 100 times and didn't fold this hand, you would be losing money in the long term, because the good runouts are too rare to be profitable, helps.

I had this problem during the first months of the game. But over time, I learned to fold if my experience and logic told me that my chances were slim. Fold - is a decision that can allow you to become a profitable player.

Look at those hands you couldn’t fold and see if you lost chips unnecessarily or if it was the right call.
